Greetings!
I welcome you on behalf of the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Delta Zeta Omega Chapter. We are located in San Francisco, CA “the city by the bay,” where we have provided award-winning and impactful service to all mankind for almost 80 years.
Established in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is the oldest sorority established by African American women in our nation. Under the leadership of our International President Charletta Wilson Jacks, the 2026-2030 theme “Championing Service. Empowering Sisterhood. Transforming the World.”, overall agenda is as follows:
Signature Program
AKA Foster the Future: From Here to Hope is a compassionate call to action designed to uplift vulnerable children and families by addressing immediate needs while creating long-term opportunities for stability, success, and belonging.
Target 1
Educational Support & Advocacy will advance educational excellence by creating equitable pathways to learning, leadership, literacy, and lifelong achievement for children, youth, families, educators, and underserved communities.
Target 2
AKA Family Matters will strengthen families and communities by promoting safety, connection, stability, preparedness, and multigenerational wellness through intentional engagement and supportive programming.
Target 3
Health Awareness & Well-Being will improve the overall health and well-being of communities by increasing education, access, prevention, advocacy, and culturally responsive wellness initiatives for all ages.
Target 4
Economic Growth & Success will empower individuals, families, and communities to build sustainable wealth, financial stability, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunity through education, access, advocacy, and innovation.
Target 5
Environmental & Sustainability Action will promote environmental responsibility, sustainability, and community stewardship through education, advocacy, conservation, and action-driven initiatives that protect future generations.
Target 6
Arts Advocacy & Cultural Awareness will celebrate, preserve, and elevate arts, culture, and creative expression as powerful tools for education, empowerment, economic opportunity, and community connection.
Target 7
The Global Community will strengthen global awareness, service, collaboration, and cultural understanding by connecting communities across nations through impactful outreach and international engagement.
Target 8
Undergraduate Impact Program will empower undergraduate members to lead with confidence, purpose, and accountability by providing meaningful support, leadership development, advocacy, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
